Neil has over 30 years’ experience in financial services, the vast majority of which have been as an independent financial adviser, eight of which were at Ernst & Young Financial Management Limited (EYFM) in the Glasgow and Belfast offices.  Throughout that time Neil worked closely with the tax and entrepreneurial services practices, providing complementary advice to many of Ernst & Young’s clients.  He also successfully engaged and still advises many lottery winners, as one of EYFM’s panel of advisers to Camelot.

Neil is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS), an Associate Member of the Institute of Financial Planning (AIFP) and an Affiliate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

His expertise is in advising partners and clients of professional services firms.  He provides holistic financial planning advice to private clients, entrepreneurs and their businesses and trustees.

Outside work, Neil does what his wife and three sons tell him to (most of the time).  He is now retired from youth football coaching, having coached his three boys to ensure that none of his sons became professional footballers, and now spends his spare time enjoying watching sport, long walks, a spot of cycling and socialising.
